I know that the current space program is out of date. The government has been looking for a replacement for the space shuttle for many years. Part of the public believes that the space shuttle is too dangerous to use for space travel since the recent mishaps with the Discovery space shuttle. NASA has chosen the CEV to replace the aging space shuttle. Some people do not believe that the CEV is the answer to our problem. I would like to hear the argument against and for the space shuttle. Why do some people believe we should not go to space until the CEV is in operation? What are the drawbacks of both designs and what does the public think we should do?
